Bloodthirsty ocular flyers of the crimson moon
The Drippler is a hovering eyeball mutant that descends from the night sky during Blood Moon events. Sporting 50 life and 14 defense, it flaps steadily toward player positions, dealing 28 contact damage in Classic, 56 in Expert, and 84 in Master. It frequently travels in pairs or small swarms alongside Blood Zombies, diving from above to disrupt defensive firing lines.
Aerial crowd control and shark tooth necklaces
Because Dripplers fly directly toward player heads, using upward-firing weapons like bows with Jester's Arrows or broadswords with tall hitboxes keeps skies clear. Slaying Dripplers offers a 0.67% chance to harvest the Shark Tooth Necklace, granting vital armor penetration. They also drop the flying Money Trough piggy bank at 0.5% and the Bloody Tear (1%).
Trivia
- Its blood-dripping anatomy gives it a trailing red particle effect as it hovers through the night sky.
- Like Demon Eyes, its forward flight path can be reset with strong directional knockback.
