Corrupted flightless birds prowling blighted snow tundras
Corrupt Penguins emerge when innocent penguins in the Snow biome become infected by Corruption or when exposed to Vile Powder. Featuring 70 life and 4 defense, this aggressive avian foe scuttles across frozen terrain to deliver 20 contact damage, climbing to 40 in Expert and 60 in Master mode. Their sharp beaks and high running speed can easily catch miners off guard while navigating slippery ice blocks.
Collecting developer vanity attire during dark nights
Defeating Corrupt Penguins is straightforward with basic wooden bows or swinging melee tools, though their aggressive speed across slick ice requires caution. They are immune to the Poisoned debuff and resist knockback more effectively than docile critters. Slaying one provides a 0.67% chance for Pedguins Hood, 0.67% for Pedguins Jacket, and 0.67% for Pedguins Trousers, completing the developer vanity outfit.
Trivia
- Spraying standard Penguins with Vile Powder instantly mutates them into aggressive Corrupt Penguins.
- Defeating them counts separately toward Bestiary completion from both standard penguins and their crimson counterparts.
