Mutated rodents spawned under dark influence

Corrupt Bunnies are twisted lagomorphs created when gentle surface rabbits come into contact with Vile Powder or when a Blood Moon rises over Corruption worlds. Sporting dark fur and menacing glowing eyes, these creatures discard their peaceful nature and hop aggressively toward players, packing 70 health and 4 defense.

Surviving blood moon swarms and collecting vanity hoods

Unlike innocent critters, Corrupt Bunnies inflict 20 contact damage in Classic and 40 in Expert mode, swarming around player outposts during nocturnal events. Eliminating them yields the vanity Bunny Hood at a 1.33% drop rate, as well as the Corrupt Bunny Kite at a 4% rate during windy weather.

Trivia

  • Corrupt Bunnies can be spawned deliberately by throwing Vile Powder onto normal bunnies.
  • They count toward the Bestiary completion independently from standard rabbits.
