Bloody gelatinous brawlers of the crimson

The Crimslime is a dense red slime that infests the surface Crimson and cavern chambers during Hardmode. Armored with 26 base defense and carrying 200 life, it withstands heavy physical punishment while delivering 60 contact damage in Classic, scaling to 120 in Expert and 180 in Master. Its dark red gelatin blurs into bloody grass, making it difficult to spot against crimson backdrops.

Harvesting ankh charm blindfolds and gel

Unlike its corrupt counterpart, the Crimslime does not split into smaller slimes upon death, relying instead on higher base armor and raw damage to overpower spelunkers. Using knockback accessories or high-caliber guns keeps it bouncing away from player positions. Slaying Crimslimes awards Gel at 100% (yielding 2–4 gel), the Meat Grinder at 0.5%, and the Blindfold at 1% for crafting the Ankh Charm.

Trivia

  • It possesses higher defense than the Corrupt Slime to offset not splitting into smaller minions upon death.
  • Defeating it on crimson sand or grass counts toward Bestiary completion for the Crimson menagerie.
