Cobweb scuttlers of pre-hardmode spider nests
Infesting subterranean Spider Nests in pre-Hardmode caverns, the Wall Creeper is an agile arachnid that crawls on background walls. With 80 health and 10 defense, it navigates sticky webs with full mobility, delivering 30 contact damage in Classic, 60 in Expert, and 90 in Master mode upon biting intruders.
Clearing cobwebs to limit vertical wall climbing
Inside infested spider nests, Wall Creepers use background cobweb walls to climb vertically in all directions to surround miners. Placing solid blocks or breaking background walls stops their free climbing, forcing them to walk slowly on ground tiles. Fallen creepers occasionally reward hungry explorers, dropping Fried Egg at a 3.33% chance.
Trivia
- Wall Creepers lose their wall-crawling ability if they move outside background wall coverage.
- They are replaced by the much deadlier Black Recluse once Hardmode begins.
