Hardmode crate salvage and parabolic heft
Recovered from Pearlwood Crates or Wooden Crates fished during early Hardmode, the Anchor arrives as an unconventional heavy melee weapon. Hurling it casts a hefty ship fitting outward that arcs rapidly downward under pronounced gravity. It crashes against targets for 70 base melee damage and 8 knockback at a Very fast velocity, rebounding sharply off solid cavern stone to strike clustered foes repeatedly.
Heavy melee impact and reforge priorities
With its crushing base power, the Anchor easily staggers tough early Hardmode enemies like armored skeletons and cavern mimics. Its steep downward trajectory requires careful angle control in wide arenas, making it less dependable against fast aerial targets like Spazmatism. In narrow mine shafts, however, the rebounding iron creates a punishing barrier against grounded hordes. Godly or Demonic stands as the best prefix, raising critical strike frequency and raw physical force.
Trivia
- The Anchor features unusual throwing physics, falling much steeper than standard thrown flails.
- Opening crates fished prior to defeating the Wall of Flesh cannot yield the weapon.
