Modern updates empower the spearhead with dark energy ripples that inflict the Shadowflame debuff, dealing continuous damage over time and halting enemy health recovery.

Underworld corridor suppression and optimal prefixes

Boasting a Fast thrust speed of 22 ticks and solid knockback of 5, the polearm provides effective corridor suppression against dense clusters of hellish monsters. Its ability to pierce through infinite targets on a single thrust makes it an outstanding tool for clearing the Hungry during the Wall of Flesh encounter. Because spear weapons cannot receive size increases from reforging, they cannot roll Legendary; Godly and Demonic provide the highest damage and critical strike enhancements.
