 Angler Tackle Bag | 1 × High Test Fishing Line, 1 × Tackle Box, 1 × Angler Earring | Tinkerer's Workshop |
Shimmer
- Shimmer turns it into Tackle Box.
- Made by shimmering High Test Fishing Line.
Angler quest rewards and fishing efficiency
Completing daily fishing quests for the Angler yields the Angler Earring as a reward. Equipping it adds 10 fishing power, increasing the catch rate of rare crates, quest targets, and high-tier fish across freshwater lakes and ocean shores. Higher fishing power also reduces the chance of junk items appearing on your hook while accelerating progression toward Hardmode resource caches. Carrying the earring makes reaching the recommended 50 fishing power threshold much easier with early rods.
Tackle bag assembly and accessory stacking
At a Tinkerer's Workshop, the earring combines with the High Test Fishing Line and Tackle Box to assemble the Angler Tackle Bag. Because fishing bonuses from separate accessory tiers stack, wearing the original Angler Earring alongside the assembled tackle bag and its lavaproof upgrade grants 30 total bonus fishing power. Submerging the earring in liquid Shimmer transmutes it into a Tackle Box. This stacking mechanic makes keeping spare earrings worthwhile even after assembling the fused bag.
Trivia
- Submerging this earring into Shimmer cycles it into the other two Angler tackle components.
- Stacking this earring with both tackle bags allows serious anglers to reach extreme fishing power ratings.
