Shadow orb smashing and corrupt flail assault
Obtained by shattering Shadow Orbs embedded within the chasms of the Corruption or fished from Corrupt Crates, the Ball O' Hurt is a heavy spiked flail. It inflicts 15 base melee damage with 5.5 knockback at a Very slow pace. Holding the attack trigger spins the spiked iron orb closely around the wielder, shredding approaching eater of souls and corrupt spitters before throwing it outward.
Worm boss segment clearing and flail reforging
The Ball O' Hurt serves as the Corruption's melee counterpart to the Crimson's The Rotted Fork. Because the spiked head maintains an active damage hitbox while spinning, it excels at cleaving through multiple body segments of the Eater of Worlds simultaneously. It dramatically outclasses the basic Mace in raw striking power. Reforging to Godly or Demonic maximizes its damage and critical strike potential.
