Queen Bee drop and autonomous homing swarm
The Bee Gun drops from Queen Bee with a 33.33% chance upon her defeat in the Underground Jungle. Consuming 5 mana per cast, it fires an erratic cluster of 1 to 6 homing bees at Very fast speed (12 use time). Each bee deals 9 base magic damage with 0.25 knockback, bouncing off dungeon walls and steering toward hostile creatures automatically.
Hive Pack synergy, boss kiting efficiency, and reforging
Equipping the Hive Pack accessory boosts a portion of spawned bees into giant bees with higher base damage and flight speed. The weapon allows magic users to focus purely on maneuvering during battles against Skeletron or the Wall of Flesh while bees track targets. Bees dissolve immediately upon touching liquids, rendering it useless underwater. Demonic is the optimal modifier since low mana and knockback restrict access to Mythical.
Trivia
- Bees emitted by the weapon cannot penetrate liquid surfaces and vanish upon contacting water or honey.
- Although each bee carries low base damage, the high projectile volume creates impressive cumulative damage.
