Dropped by Queen Bee with a 33.33% chance upon her defeat within the Underground Jungle. When the player takes damage from any hostile enemy or environmental hazard, the comb releases a defensive swarm of friendly bees that pursue and attack nearby targets. It simultaneously bestows the Honey buff upon the player, providing accelerated life regeneration for 5 seconds to aid survival during frantic battles. The defensive bees inflict steady chip damage on pursuing monsters while distracting them from the wounded player.

Accessory branching and close-quarters boss survival

The Honey Comb is an adaptable crafting component that feeds into five different accessory combinations: Honey Balloon, Bee Cloak, Sweetheart Necklace, Stinger Necklace, and Sweet Barb. It excels in pre-Hardmode boss arenas where taking occasional contact damage is unavoidable, turning incoming attacks into counter-offensive bee swarms. Reforging to Warding maximizes armor defense, while Menacing boosts all offensive damage types across combat encounters.
