Obtained from Queen Bee Treasure Bags in Expert and Master modes after defeating Queen Bee. While equipped in an accessory slot, the Hive Pack grants a 33% chance for friendly bees summoned by the player to transform into giant bees. These enhanced bees inflict increased damage, deal higher knockback, and pierce through additional enemy targets before dispersing, noticeably boosting swarm damage against resilient opponents. Giant bees retain the homing capabilities of standard bees, swarming around sharp terrain corners to seek out concealed targets and airborne fliers.

Synergistic bee weaponry and retaliatory swarms

The giant bee transformation triggers from bee-spawning weapons including the Bee Gun, Bee Keeper, and Beenade, alongside retaliatory items like the Sweetheart Necklace. This enhancement makes bee-focused loadouts formidable against pre-Hardmode challenges like the Wall of Flesh, where bouncing stingers chew through clusters of surrounding minions while the player retreats along ash runways in the Underworld.

• Giant bees travel faster and can pierce up to two targets before vanishing.
