The Cursed Piper Flute generates inside Rich Mahogany Chests nestled within living mahogany trees in the Underground Jungle, appearing with a 10% chance per chest. Blowing into this curious flute transforms the user into a nimble subterranean rat. In rat form, the character gains a swift dash speed of 7.5 and reduces incoming fall damage down to only 10% of normal impact.

Rat form clearance in compact spaces

The defining strength of the rat mount is its shrunk collision boundary, which enables the player to slip through tight crawlspaces and natural cave crevices that normal characters cannot enter without digging. However, attempting to swing a sword, cast a spell, or drink a potion immediately dispels the mount form. This makes the flute a specialized scouting tool for surveying narrow cave systems and locating hidden ores before manual excavation.
