Blue Roller Skates

Traveling Merchant inventory and block building

Blue Roller Skates are purchased from the Traveling Merchant for 15 gold when he offers them in his randomized daily shop stock. Equipping the skates grants smooth skating locomotion over flat terrain, dungeon walkways, and wooden platforms. The primary feature of these skates is synchronized building speed: while holding blocks or tile wands without pressing directional movement keys, coasting velocity automatically matches item placement speed for consistent, gap-free construction.

Synchronized coasting for construction tracks

Unlike conventional mounts that restrict player accessory mechanics, roller skates integrate with normal mobility gear. Riders can flap wings to take flight, glide directly onto minecart tracks, and utilize double jump bottles without dismounting. Furthermore, movement speed buffs from equipment stack additively with the skates, making them a practical tool for laying skybridges, building arenas, and paving long railway networks across difficult landscapes.

Trivia

• Coasting speed automatically synchronizes with the use time of held blocks for consistent building.
• Players can ride minecart tracks and flap wings while wearing roller skates.
