Jungle shrine recovery and botanical harvesting properties
The Staff of Regrowth is discovered in Ivy Chests within Jungle Shrines and Living Mahogany Trees in the Underground Jungle, as well as fished Bramble Crates. When swung, it places green grass on bare dirt, Jungle grass on mud blocks, and Ash grass on ash blocks without expending seeds. Harvesting mature or blooming herbs with the staff yields additional alchemy plants and herb seeds compared to standard harvesting with ordinary tools or weapons.
Combat performance, Axe of Regrowth synthesis, and reforges
In combat, the staff strikes for 7 base melee damage with 3 knockback at Fast speed (25 use time). While its battle output is modest compared to true weapons like the Blade of Grass, its utility remains relevant throughout an entire playthrough. Combining it at an anvil with an axe, Jungle Spores, and Vines produces the Axe of Regrowth, uniting tree-chopping efficiency with herbal gathering bonuses. Legendary is the optimal modifier.

- Update 1.4.4 granted the staff the ability to sow Ash grass on ash blocks in the Underworld.
