Ebonwood Helmet

Purple lumber crafting and corrupted head protection

Assembled at a Work Bench from 20 Ebonwood blocks, the Ebonwood Helmet provides 1 defense for the head slot. Wearing this headpiece alongside an Ebonwood Breastplate and Ebonwood Greaves completes the corrupted armor trio, unlocking a set bonus of +1 defense that raises total protection to 5 defense across all three armor slots.

Early biome strategies and starter headpiece comparisons

At a low crafting investment of 20 logs, this helmet offers a practical early upgrade over a basic Wood Helmet. While the headpiece itself supplies 1 defense, the higher value of the matching breastplate makes the full set competitive with basic metal armors like Copper Helmet. Players can plant Corrupt Seeds on dirt to grow additional purple trees near spawn, safely multiplying their lumber harvest.

Trivia

• Felling corrupted purple trees requires only an ordinary starter copper axe without special tools.
• Wearing the full three-piece corrupted ensemble provides 5 total defense with the set bonus active.
