Wood Greaves

Crafting basic woodland legwear for set completion

Formed at a Work Bench using 25 Wood logs, Wood Greaves provide zero base defense on their own. Their primary tactical value comes from activating the woodland suit bonus when combined with a Wood Helmet and a Wood Breastplate, adding +1 defense to reach an overall total of 3 defense. Without these greaves, the helmet and chestpiece provide only 2 defense combined.

Evaluating set bonus activation versus standalone greaves

Because these leggings offer no individual defense, wearing them without the other matching pieces yields no damage reduction whatsoever. Gathering 25 wood is virtually free from the opening moments of the game, making the full set worthwhile until better materials appear. Players exploring snowy wastes or deserts should quickly replace them with Boreal Wood Greaves or Cactus Leggings for improved standalone resilience and defensive bonuses.

Trivia

• Grants zero defense individually, existing primarily to complete the three-piece set bonus.
• One of the very few leg armor pieces in the game that provides no standalone defense.
