Hardmode anvil crafting and critical strike bonus
Crafted at a Mythril Anvil using 6 Adamantite Bar (or Titanium), 12 Gold Bar (or Platinum), 8 Soul of Night, and 15 Soul of Fright, Format:C is a specialized mid-Hardmode yoyo. It features an innate critical strike chance of 24%. Furthermore, its internal code triggers an extra quarter damage bonus whenever a critical hit lands, making critical strikes hit noticeably harder than normal on hostile foes.
Yoyo Bag synergies and godly prefix
With 40 base melee damage, Format:C pairs naturally with the Yoyo Bag and melee critical strike accessories like the Warrior Emblem. Because yoyos are tethered projectile weapons that cannot gain size modifiers, the Legendary modifier is not available on this item. Godly is the optimal reforge, granting top-tier boosts to damage, critical strike probability, and 3.25 knockback for boss combat.
Trivia
- The yoyo is named after the MS-DOS command format c:, which wipes the primary hard drive on personal computers.
- Successful critical hits with Format:C spawn unique digital square particle effects on the impacted enemy.
