Cavern mimic treasure and frost bolt discharge

Acquired as a drop from the Ice Mimic in the deep Ice biome, the Frostbrand provides early Hardmode warriors with dependable ranged projection alongside solid blade combat. Swinging the broadsword releases a spinning Frost Bolt projectile that flies in a straight line, piercing up to two enemies and inflicting the Frostbite debuff. The projectile has a brief internal cooldown, but the sword itself continues swinging without delay.

Sword beam tiering and legendary reforging

With 49 base melee damage, the weapon bridges the gap between early Hardmode ore swords and post-mechanical powerhouses. It offers safer spacing than the Beam Sword due to its projectile piercing capabilities, though it lacks the wide sweeping slash arc found on Excalibur. The Legendary modifier represents the finest reforge, maximizing melee swing speed, damage output, knockback, and projectile velocity.

• The icy bolt fired by Frostbrand emits pale blue illumination, lighting up dark exploration shafts.
• Even if the player swings the sword while facing away, the projectile fires precisely toward the cursor position.
