Dropped by the Ice Mimic in the Underground Snow biome during Hardmode, the Heavy Sling revolutionizes sentry positioning for summoners. It drops with a 25% chance from the mimic's equipment pool. Walking past an active summoner sentry projectile latches it onto the sling, allowing the player to carry it securely. The transported sentry travels with the player and continues firing its attacks while carried across uneven terrain.

Sentry mobile warfare and advanced sling crafts

This accessory transforms stationary ballistas, lightning auras, and explosive traps into mobile fire support that moves with the player. Summoners can kite agile bosses like Plantera across open arenas while keeping sentries in close firing range. It serves as the base ingredient to craft Scout's Sling, Templar's Sling, and Royal Guard's Harness. Menacing boosts sentry damage, while Warding adds 4 defense for survivability in hazardous arenas during intense invasion events.
