Underworld netting hazards and specialized capture
Drifting above lava lakes in the Underworld, this flaming insect requires a Lavaproof Bug Net or Golden Bug Net to capture safely. Attempting to catch it with an ordinary net inflicts the On Fire! debuff and deals direct damage to the player instead. Combining the caught insect with an empty Bottle produces a Hell Butterfly Jar for animated Underworld lighting and house decoration.
Lava angling mechanics and bait efficiency
With 15% bait power, this creature acts as heat-resistant bait that permits lava fishing using any standard fishing pole. It bypasses the requirement for specialized lava tackle or lava hooks when hunting obsidian crates and magma fish. While its bait percentage is lower than the Lavafly, its frequent appearance across open Underworld ash columns makes it easy to accumulate in stacks.
