As the wearer sprints across solid blocks, a continuous carpet of crackling visual flames trails behind their footsteps. The accessory does not grant liquid walking or lava immunity, functioning as a stylish and agile upgrade to standard subterranean movement options.

Hellfire Treads represent a stylistic alternative to Lightning Boots in early Hardmode progression paths. While Lightning Boots grant an 8% flat movement boost and upgrade into Terraspark Boots, Hellfire Treads preserve fiery thematic visuals without requiring extensive material gathering. They pair effectively with early Hardmode wings to reset aerial descent speed and evade ground hazards across boss arenas. Reforging to Warding grants dependable defense, while Menacing boosts overall weapon damage.
