Armor penetration and retaliatory bee swarm
Crafted at a Tinkerer's Workshop by combining a Shark Tooth Necklace with a Honey Comb obtained from Queen Bee. Grants 5 points of flat armor penetration on all attacks. When the wearer sustains damage, it releases a swarm of aggressive bees to strike nearby foes and douses the player in Honey, triggering accelerated health regeneration for 10 seconds.
High fire-rate weapon synergy and necklace comparisons
Shines when paired with rapid-firing weapons with low base damage, such as the Minishark, Bee Gun, or summoner Blade Staff, where the 5 armor penetration significantly elevates DPS against armored targets. Unlike the Sweetheart Necklace, which trades penetration for movement speed via the Panic buff, the Stinger Necklace prioritizes offense and retaliatory damage in tight encounters. Reforging to Menacing or Lucky maximizes damage scaling throughout pre-Hardmode and early Hardmode.
