Assembled at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil using 24 Spider Fang gathered from Black Recluse spiders in the underground cavern layer. The staff plants a stationary sentry that targets ground and aerial targets within line of sight. Each shot launches an egg projectile dealing 26 base sentry damage with 7.5 knockback at Average rate. When the egg strikes a foe or block, it shatters into two to four baby spiders that inflict the Venom debuff.

Early hardmode choke defense and summoner loadouts

The staff acts as a valuable static defense asset during early Hardmode events such as the Goblin Army and Solar Eclipse. When positioned atop platforms or narrow farm tunnels, the burst of venomous spiderlings rapidly clears dense clusters of grounded adversaries. While it lacks the mobile flight of the Sanguine Staff, it complements minion swarms when paired with Spider Armor. Summoners should reforge it to the Ruthless modifier to maximize per-hit sentry output.

• Unlike minion summons that follow the player, the Queen Spider functions as an independent sentry and does not consume regular minion capacity slots.
• The hatchling spiders spawned from exploded eggs apply the Venom damage-over-time debuff without requiring direct physical line of sight from the summoner.
