Available from the Tavernkeep at the cost of 50 Defender Medals once players successfully protect the crystal in Tier 1 Old One's Army. The shield expands maximum sentry slots by 1, allowing another defensive turret on the battlefield, and increases summon damage by 10% across all summoned minions, sentries, and whips, granting dependable offensive enhancement.

Tanky summoner strategies and sentry synergy

Aligns with Ballista sentries, which pierce enemy lines with high-impact bolts. Summoners can equip it in combination with Apprentice's Scarf, Huntress's Buckler, and Monk's Belt to amass 4 extra sentry slots before confronting the Wall of Flesh. This allows multiple Ballistas to be positioned across arena platforms, shredding bulky targets like the Wall of Flesh or Skeletron. Reforging to Warding bolsters defense for frontline summoners with 4 defense, while Menacing maximizes minion damage.

• Like the Huntress's Buckler, this shield provides no defensive stats on its own despite its shield sprite.
