Unlike other summon weapons that summon multiple separate minions, repeated casts of this staff lengthen a single continuous celestial dragon. Each additional minion slot allocated adds an extra body segment, increasing the dragon's overall length, flight speed, and damage scaling. The dragon flies smoothly through solid tiles and terrain to relentlessly pursue targets across the screen, dealing continuous contact damage.
Single-target summoner focus and minion capacity scaling
The Stardust Dragon is renowned for its single-target boss damage, capable of melting boss health pools when supported by Spooky Armor or Stardust Armor and summon accessories. When pitted against Stardust Cell Staff, the dragon wins in focused boss encounters, though its continuous piercing contact hits can sometimes trigger enemy immunity frames.
