Spectral spinning blade slashes and multi-hit slicing
True Night's Edge is crafted at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil by combining Night's Edge with twenty each of Soul of Fright, Soul of Might, and Soul of Sight. Swinging the blade generates a large demonic slash alongside a spinning ethereal sword projectile that lingers in front of the player. This spinning spectral blade strikes hostile targets repeatedly, dealing 70 base melee damage with 4.75 knockback across multiple hits.
Terra Blade progression and heavy broadsword comparisons
True Night's Edge serves as a required crafting component to forge the renowned Terra Blade when combined with True Excalibur and a Broken Hero Sword. In contrast to True Excalibur, which relies on rapid close-quarters slashes, True Night's Edge has a larger reach and deals superior multi-hit burst damage against larger targets. Reforging to the Legendary prefix provides the best boosts to damage, speed, and critical strike chance.
Trivia
The weapon was reworked to require souls from all three mechanical bosses instead of a Broken Hero Sword.
The spinning phantom sword projectile hits multiple times in place before fading away.
