Meadow wandering and striped wing capture
Identifiable by its sharp black-and-white striped wings, this insect flutters across sunny Forest biomes between morning dawn and evening dusk. Sweeping a basic Bug Net through grassy clearings snares it out of midair as it glides above meadows and colorful flowers. Placing one inside an empty Bottle yields a Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly Jar for decorating living quarters and town apartments.
Entry bait utility and merchant exchanges
Providing 15% bait power, this insect offers simple bait for lake and ocean fishing trips without requiring fallen stars. While stronger species like the Ulysses Butterfly deliver higher percentages, gathering zebra swallowtails provides immediate bait for early quest angling and wooden crate retrieval. Selling surplus specimens to town merchants yields 15 silver per capture, helping finance early tools, storage chests, and iron anvils.
Trivia
