Stormcloud harbingers of the rainy sky
Angry Nimbuses are dark, brooding stormclouds that hover overhead during rainy weather in Hardmode. Drifting smoothly across the sky above plains and hills, they position themselves directly above players before pouring torrential downpours of sharp, damaging raindrops. They navigate storm winds with 300 health and 24 defense.
Evading torrential cloudbursts and securing the nimbus rod
The falling raindrops deal rapid damage from directly above, making them especially hazardous while battling ground foes across wet terrain. Eliminating an Angry Nimbus provides the Nimbus Rod at a 6.67% rate, a top-tier magic weapon that summons persistent rain clouds to shower continuous damage onto boss arenas and invasion paths.
Trivia
- Angry Nimbuses only spawn while rain or storms are active across the surface world.
- The Nimbus Rod dropped by this cloud can maintain two active damaging rainclouds simultaneously.
