Surface downpours and yellow slickers
The Raincoat Zombie is a weather-specific undead variant that shambles across surface terrain whenever rain falls from the sky. Sporting 50 life and 8 defense, it marches through puddles and downpours, striking unarmored players for 16 contact damage in Classic, scaling to 32 in Expert and 48 in Master. While functionally identical to regular zombies, its bright yellow slicker stands out through heavy rainstorms.
Collecting waterproof apparel during storms
Defeating Raincoat Zombies gives players a chance to secure cozy rainwear before winter biomes. It has a 2.5% drop rate for the Rain Hat and 2.5% for the Rain Coat, providing a yellow vanity outfit. It also yields standard zombie loot including the Shackle (2%), Zombie Arm (0.4%), and stacks of Glowsticks at 100% (quantity 1–4).
Trivia
- It only spawns naturally on the surface while it is raining, disappearing once skies clear.
- Its yellow slicker costume is purely decorative and offers no defensive stats.
