Hallowed ghouls of the subterranean desert
The Dreamer Ghoul is a swift undead creature that stalks the Underground Desert when cleansed by the Hallow in Hardmode. Armored with 32 defense and carrying 300 health, it sprints aggressively through pastel crystal sands, delivering 54 contact damage in Classic, 108 in Expert, and 162 in Master. It bounds across uneven dunes with high running speed.
Harvesting light shards and ancient cloth
Unlike corrupt ghouls, the Dreamer Ghoul inflicts the Confused debuff on higher difficulties, reversing player directional controls for several seconds. Maintaining distance with ranged fire or whips prevents disorienting reversals during subterranean exploration. Slaying Dreamer Ghouls yields Light Shards at a 6.67% rate for weapon crafting, Ancient Cloth at 10%, and the Crystallize food buff at 0.5%.
Trivia
- It represents the Hallow counterpart to the Crimson's Tainted Ghoul and Corruption's Vile Ghoul.
- Its Light Shards combine with Dark Shards from evil desert ghouls to forge the Dao of Pow.
