Agile crouching quadrupeds in darkened skies
Fritz scuttles across the landscape during the Solar Eclipse, serving as a swift counterpart to larger shambling monstrosities. Bearing 270 health alongside 14 defense, this hunched fiend darts forward at high running speeds. It inflicts 70 base contact damage in Classic, increasing to 140 in Expert and 210 in Master mode, catching off-guard spelunkers with abrupt forward leaps.
Suppressing rapid flankers with wide area projectiles
Because of its compact frame and rapid sprint speed, Fritz easily weaves between slow-firing projectiles to ambush defenders on flat ground. Deploying bouncing explosive munitions or automatic magic spells helps disrupt its sprint before it closes the distance. Upon defeat, Fritz drops coins and holds a rare 1.67% chance to yield the Midnight Sun canvas painting.
Trivia
- Fritz is named after the hunchbacked assistant in the 1931 Frankenstein film.
- Its crouched posture and rapid animation make it look like a sprinting beast rather than a humanoid.
