Explosive juggernauts of the solar eclipse
Nailheads are heavily armored monstrosities that march across the surface during post-Plantera Solar Eclipses. Characterized by a head studded with heavy iron nails, these slow-moving behemoths possess 4,000 health and 34 defense, shrugging off incoming weapon fire while advancing steadily toward defending players.
Evading nail barrages and obtaining the nail gun
In addition to dealing 100 contact damage in Classic and 200 in Expert, Nailheads fire salvos of explosive nails that embed in blocks before detonating with forceful blast radii. Eliminating these formidable enemies awards the Nail Gun at a 4% rate, a powerful ranged armament that fires explosive ammunition to devastate clustered crowds.
Trivia
- Nailheads only begin spawning in Solar Eclipses after Plantera has been vanquished.
- The nails fired by Nailheads can ricochet off hard surfaces before detonating.
