Spore-spitting botanical sentinels of glowing caves
Rooted among glowing blue mushroom beds in the Underground Mushroom biome, the Fungi Bulb acts as a stationary spore launcher. Possessing 90 health and 4 defense, this vegetative growth tracks moving players and expels glowing spore darts, dealing 24 contact damage in Classic, 48 in Expert, and 72 in Master mode.
Sniping stationary spore shooters through foliage cover
Because the Fungi Bulb is rooted to a single tile, it cannot give chase when players retreat down cavern corridors. However, its glowing spore projectiles can travel through open gaps to disrupt miners harvesting glowing mushrooms. Sniping it from outside its firing range using bows or long-range magic dispatches it safely without sustaining return hits.
Trivia
- Fungi Bulbs are stationary and cannot reposition themselves once generated on mushroom grass.
- Their glowing projectiles emit a faint blue illumination as they travel through the dark.
