Drops
Mushi Ladybug drops nothing in the game's drop rules.
Fungal beetles bouncing across glowing mushroom fields
The Mushi Ladybug is an aggressive blue beetle that thrives in Glowing Mushroom biomes during Hardmode. Scuttling across glowing mushroom grass with 220 life and 16 defense, it blends into the deep blue flora. When an explorer approaches, it executes sudden high-altitude hops, launching its carapace toward the player to deal 60 base contact damage.
Taming bouncy subterranean rushes with knockback flails
Due to its springy movement and compact body size, fighting a Mushi Ladybug in tight cavern corridors can be disorienting. Using weapons with high knockback such as Dao of Pow or sweeping swords keeps the beetle pinned to the floor, preventing it from ricocheting off cavern ceilings. In Master mode, its durability climbs to 660 life and its lunges inflict 180 damage, punishing sloppy footwork.
Trivia
- Mushi Ladybugs spawn in both underground and surface Glowing Mushroom biomes during Hardmode.
- Their sporadic leaping movement makes them difficult to track in unlit caverns.
