Luminescent hybrid swimmers in fungal grottos
Gliding through flooded cavern pools in the Underground Mushroom biome, the Fungo Fish is a curious mushroom-jellyfish hybrid. Carrying 140 health and 20 defense, this glowing creature swims gracefully in dark water, striking with 90 contact damage in Classic, 180 in Expert, and 270 in Master mode when disturbed.
Clearing illuminated waters for subterranean exploration
While the Fungo Fish appears tranquil, its contact damage is surprisingly high for an underground grotto inhabitant. Swimming into it without adequate armor can take a massive chunk of health. Using ranged weapons from dry cavern ledges allows spelunkers to clear flooded pools before diving in to mine glowing mushroom grass and gather resources.
Trivia
- The Fungo Fish emits soft blue light, making it easily visible even in unlit underground waters.
- Despite resembling a jellyfish, it utilizes fish swimming physics to propel itself through water.
