High-voltage cattle prod strikes in the Martian Madness
The Gigazapper is an imposing close-quarters combatant deployed during the Martian Madness invasion. Equipped with an energized baton resembling a high-tech cattle prod, this alien shock trooper charges directly into melee range. Striking with 75 base contact damage and bolstered by 38 base defense, he represents one of the invasion's most punishing frontline brawlers. Contact with his electrified prod inflicts the severe Electrified debuff, which inflicts damage that accelerates dramatically if the player continues running.
Surviving the lethal Electrified debuff and salvaging conduit plating
Because the Electrified status turns movement into self-inflicted harm, engaging Gigazappers requires stopping horizontal sprints or taking flight while maintaining distance with ranged or magic armaments. Dispatching these energized alien soldiers yields Martian Conduit Plating (12.5%) as building materials, along with pieces of the sleek Martian Uniform vanity outfit. Furthermore, lucky defenders have a slim chance to acquire premier invasion tools including the Anti-Gravity Hook (0.13%).
Trivia
- The Electrified debuff caused by the Gigazapper quadruples its damage over time if the player is actively moving.
- Unlike common grunts, Gigazappers wear protective heavy armor and carry a visible glowing stun rod.
