Three-stage charge cycle and piercing beam emission
The Charged Blaster Cannon drops rarely from common alien invaders like the Martian Officer and Gray Grunt during the Martian Madness event. Holding the attack input cycles the weapon through three distinct firing states. Tapping the trigger expends 14 mana to cast an energy pellet dealing 100 magic damage. Holding the charge for one second releases a larger piercing sphere, while maintaining the channel for three seconds fires a continuous disintegrating laser beam that pierces through infinite enemies along its path.
Mana management and single-target beam efficiency
Because the continuous laser drains mana rapidly while active, pairing the weapon with a Mana Flower or Mana Cloak is helpful during prolonged boss fights. Compared to the wide spray of the Laser Machinegun, this weapon concentrates damage into a focused line, making it effective against worm bosses and narrow hallway events. The Mythical modifier grants the best balance of damage, critical strike chance, and reduced mana consumption.
Trivia
- The charging mechanic and firing sound closely resemble the Mega Buster weapon from the Mega Man series.
