Extraterrestrial support and tesla turrets
The Martian Engineer acts as a technical combat engineer during the post-Golem Martian Madness invasion. He enters combat with 400 life and 34 defense, preferring to construct automated defenses rather than rushing defenders directly. In Classic mode his contact attack deals 40 damage, scaling to 80 in Expert and 120 in Master. His main danger comes from the autonomous Tesla Turrets he drops across the battlefield, which emit electrical arc currents that shock defenders.
Priority targeting during invasions
Eliminating the Martian Engineer before he litters the arena floor with turrets is critical for controlling invasion clutter. Turrets remain active even after their creator falls, continuing to fire electricity until destroyed individually. Piercing spells and homing arrows allow players to snipe the engineer amidst chaotic waves of invaders. When defeated, he drops Martian Conduit Plating at a 12.5% rate (8–20), alongside rare high-tech equipment like the Laser Drill (0.13%).
Trivia
- He carries a specialized construction tool that deploys stationary Tesla Turrets onto solid blocks.
- Defeating the engineer does not automatically deactivate the turrets he placed.
