The Jungle Creeper is a venomous predatory spider that stalks the murky depths of the Underground Jungle in Hardmode. Equipped with 400 life and 28 defense, it navigates natural foliage, ceilings, and earthen background walls with agility. When a player wanders into its territory, it drops from the ceiling or scuttles along vines to inflict 100 base contact damage.
Surviving debilitating venom injections in dense foliage
Strikes from a Jungle Creeper inflict the deadly Venom debuff, rapidly draining the player’s life pool while ignoring standard armor defense. In cramped jungle caves where thorn bushes and stingers already restrict movement, surviving an arachnid ambush requires wide-swinging swords or knockback weapons to keep it pinned. In Master mode, its health scales to 1,200 life and its bites inflict 300 damage, making Bezoars, Medicated Bandages, or Ankh Shields valuable defenses.
