Carnivorous predatory flora of the surface jungle
Anchored to mud and grass blocks in the surface and shallow Underground Jungle, the Snatcher ambushes unwary travelers. Possessing 60 health and 10 defense, this botanical menace extends its neck rapidly toward moving targets, delivering 25 contact damage in Classic, 50 in Expert, and 75 in Master mode upon snapping shut.
Controlling extension range and harvesting restorative coffee
Unlike the cavern-dwelling Man Eater, the pre-Hardmode Snatcher cannot pass its head through solid blocks, allowing players to build protective stone walls and attack safely from behind barriers. Keeping outside its stem reach makes dispatching it simple with ranged arrows. Defeating a Snatcher carries a 3.33% chance to drop Coffee, granting the Well Fed nourishment buff.
