Drops
Chances are for one kill, before Luck, Rate of fire or banners change anything. The Modes column says in which difficulties the game lists the drop.
Silent gliders of the tropical jungle
Giant Flying Foxes are large nocturnal bats native to the dense foliage of the Hardmode Jungle. Flying smoothly through tangled vines and mahogany branches, they maneuver with exceptional agility while pursuing intruders. Armed with 220 health and 24 defense, they can withstand several defensive swipes before retreating.
Repelling aerial strikes and looting vampiric clubs
These oversized bats deliver 80 contact damage in Classic and 160 in Expert, swooping down from cavern ceilings to interrupt delicate platforming. When eliminated, they drop Grapes at a 2.5% rate, as well as the Bat Bat at a 0.33% rate, a melee club that restores health to the wielder on hit.
Trivia
- Giant Flying Foxes are significantly larger than common cave bats and move at higher flight speeds.
