The Adamantite Pickaxe delivers 180% pickaxe power to quarry tier-three Hardmode minerals and all earlier stone varieties. Crafted from 18 Adamantite Bar ingots at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil, it strikes in a broad overhead arc dealing 20 base melee damage and 5 knockback, allowing miners to quarry blocks while simultaneously fending off cave bats and slimes.

Melee haste synergy and drill divergence

In contrast to the Adamantite Drill, this swung pickaxe benefits directly from mining speed buffs and swing speed enhancements. Equipping an Ancient Chisel and consuming a Mining Potion with the Light modifier increases block destruction speed well beyond drill speeds. This makes the pickaxe the preferred option for excavating large arenas and underground bases prior to confronting the mechanical bosses.
