Equipping Armor Polish grants immunity to the Broken Armor debuff, preventing enemy attacks from halving the player overall defense stat, preserving hard-earned armor mitigation during dangerous melee encounters against heavy hitters.

Armor bracing fusion and ankh shield integration

Broken Armor poses severe risks in Hardmode, as losing half of the wearer defense rating drastically increases incoming damage from tough monsters. At a Tinkerer's Workshop, it combines with Vitamins to craft Armor Bracing, advancing progression toward the Ankh Charm and Ankh Shield. Securing it early simplifies exploration across deep cavern tracks and post-Plantera Dungeon corridors where armored skeletons congregate. Warding reforges offer high protection while clearing dangerous cavern complexes and defending against sudden ambushes.
