Beetle Scale Mail

Beetle Might offensive enhancement and Golem husk forging

Upgraded from a Turtle Scale Mail using 8 Beetle Husk pieces at an anvil, the Beetle Scale Mail represents the aggressive configuration of beetle body armor. It grants 20 defense, an 8% boost to melee damage and critical strike chance, plus a 6% boost to movement and melee attack speed. Wearing it alongside the Beetle Helmet and Beetle Leggings activates the Beetle Might set bonus.

Accelerating melee strike rate and endgame sword synergies

Landing physical attacks builds stacks of Beetle Might, summoning up to 3 beetle companions that increase melee attack speed and damage across three tiers up to 30%. This aggressive scaling pairs naturally with rapid melee weapons like the Terra Blade, The Horseman's Blade, or Flairon. However, failing to inflict damage for a few seconds causes the beetle stacks to diminish, requiring continuous pressure during boss encounters.

Trivia

• Provides greater offensive boosts but lower defense than its counterpart, the Beetle Shell.
• Requires slaying Golem in the Jungle Temple to obtain the necessary husks.
