The Horseman's Blade is dropped by Pumpking during the Pumpkin Moon event. Each swing delivers 150 base melee damage with 7.5 knockback. Whenever the physical blade strikes a hostile enemy, it summons homing pumpkin heads from off-screen that fly through solid blocks to home into nearby enemies. In modern updates, swings also generate a broad energy slash arc that protects the player at close quarters and inflicts contact damage.
Zenith ingredient role and statue arena synergy
The blade is a required component for crafting Zenith at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil. Players historically leveraged statue-spawned monsters in boss arenas to trigger endless streams of homing pumpkins against difficult bosses. Compared to the Terra Blade, it trades wide projectile waves for heavy homing single-target burst that reliably finds evasive targets. The Legendary modifier provides the finest boost to damage, swing speed, and critical strike chance.

Homing pumpkins can pass through solid walls and relentlessly seek out targets regardless of line-of-sight.
