Dark Harvest drops from the boss Pumpking during the Pumpkin Moon wave event. As a late Hardmode summoner whip, it inflicts 110 summon damage with 3 knockback. Striking any enemy grants the player the Harvest Time buff, increasing whip attack speed by 35% for three seconds. Furthermore, minions attacking tagged foes trigger dark energy sparks that leap to surrounding targets, providing strong area damage across crowded hordes without suffering damage decay.

Whip stacking strategies and modifier selection

Summoners frequently cycle Dark Harvest alongside the Kaleidoscope and Morning Star to stack attack speed buffs with raw tag bonuses. While it provides no flat summon tag damage to the primary target, the jumping dark energy procs allow single-target minions like the Raven Staff summons to clear swarms efficiently. It functions particularly well in wave events where dense crowds trigger constant sparks. The Legendary modifier offers the best boost to attack speed, range, and whip velocity.
