Dusty Rawhide Saddle

Zoologist unlocks and piebald steed acquisition

The Dusty Rawhide Saddle is available for purchase from the Zoologist for 25 gold after filling 30% of the Bestiary. Achieving this quota requires recording at least one hundred and sixty-two unique entries through combat, critter catching, and town resident housing. When bought and activated, the saddle calls forth a handsome Painted Horse mount displaying brown and white piebald markings across its coat.

Open plains galloping and charge impact

The painted horse accelerates to a top galloping speed of forty miles per hour over level terrain. Once up to full speed, the rider gains immunity to knockback effects and inflicts contact damage against hostile monsters that wander into the horse's path. The mount also softens heavy landings by halving all incoming fall damage. This combination of speed, obstacle clearance, and collision defense makes it a reliable mount for traversing long surface stretches and crossing desert dunes prior to unlocking teleporters.

Trivia

• The Dusty Rawhide Saddle summons the painted horse variant, which shares identical movement stats with the black and white horse saddles.
• Its name references traditional untreated rawhide tack used in western equestrian riding.
