Royal Gilded Saddle

White steed from the Zoologist

The Royal Gilded Saddle becomes purchasable from the Zoologist for 25 gold once the player records at least 30% of the Bestiary. Summons the Majestic Horse, a dignified white mount adorned with golden armor plates. The steed features strong acceleration, building momentum quickly to hit a sustained top galloping speed of 40 mph. It serves as a reliable early transportation upgrade that requires no crafting stations or rare mob drops to obtain.

Overland cruising and cavern navigation

Riding the Majestic Horse halves incoming fall damage, granting riders a safety margin when dropping into ravine chasms or underground caverns. Its jumping height clears small hills and six-tile ledges smoothly, reducing the need to constantly place platforms during surface transit. While it lacks flight capabilities found on late Hardmode mounts, its steady sprint speed makes it ideal for scouting surface biomes, crossing desert dunes, and racing across wooden bridge networks prior to defeating major bosses.

Trivia
