Fairy Wings

Hallow pixie harvesting and early wing crafting

Crafted at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil by combining 99 Pixie Dust with 20 Soul of Flight. Pixies spawn frequently across surface Hallow grass during daytime and nighttime, making Pixie Dust fast to accumulate compared to rare monster drop feathers in early Hardmode. Players can assemble these wings quickly after securing souls from high-altitude Wyverns without grinding rare monster drops.

Flight duration and glowing traversal

Delivering 130 ticks of flight time, 135 ft of vertical height, and 34 mph horizontal speed, Fairy Wings outperform Angel and Demon Wings in both airtime and speed. They emit subtle sparkling illumination while flapping, providing convenient visibility when navigating dark caverns and evading mechanical boss attacks. This combination of accessible crafting ingredients and balanced stats makes them a popular first choice for newly generated Hardmode characters seeking reliable airtime.

Trivia

• Fairy Wings produce a soft light effect around the player while flapping in darkness.
• Gathering Pixie Dust is straightforward because Pixies spawn continuously across surface Hallow grass.
